She is survived by her three children; Ron Dobbin, Wendy Dobbin and Fred Weinard. Our mother would tell us the story of how on her way home from school she noticed what she thought was a log in the lake, but it started to move up and down, she was a Pioneer who saw the Ogopogo. We remember life on the lake and many wonderful picnics on Goats Peak, Audrey's favourite spot. "Rest in Peace, Mom". JOHNSTON, Harold Robert Sept. 26, 1913 - Jan. 19, 2013 Harold passed away peacefully at the age of 99. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Arlene (95), son Terry and his wife Gillian, granddaughter Valerie and husband Dori, grandson Michael and wife Sheri, great- grandchildren Jessica Dennison and fiance Phill Screeton, Liam Dennison and Emily and Ethan Johnston as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by daughter Marjorie. Harold was born in Dauphin, Manitoba and lived in Kelowna for 50 years, 1948-1998 before moving to Ladner and Surrey. As a World War II veteran he served in the Army Engineer Unit and was the best husband, father and grandfather anyone could wish for. He had a full life and will be missed by all he touched. "There is a special place in Heaven for the mother of four boys" Margaret Voss (nee Rogerson - 1917) died peacefully and without pain at her home in the Haven Hill Retirement Centre in Penticton, B.C. on January 21, 2013, at the age of 95. She has gone to rejoin the love of her life, Odell, her husband of 42 years and to dance again with him for eternity. Margaret was born near Parkside Saskatchewan on June 23rd 1917, the second daughter of Harry and Lillian Rogerson from Leask, Saskatchewan and the fourth of seven children. She is survived by her four sons, Garry (Maria) of Edmonton, Vince (Fay) of Edmonton, Tom (Jane) of Vancouver and Brent (Mary Ann) of Penticton, 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. To the end, Margaret's sense of humor and quick wit touched the hearts of all those she met, winning her a special place in the hearts of the staff and "inmates" (her description of her fellow seniors) at Haven Hill. He was a 23-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, Signal Corps, and spent several years working as a Tugboat Engineer. Richard was an avid bridge player, wine maker and outdoorsman. He is predeceased by his parents, four brothers and his son Randy. He is survived by his children BJ, Rick and Ron, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother Vernon and sister Helen, nephew Rick (Karon and RJ), numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friend Lorene Harris. He will be sadly missed. At Richard's request, there will be no funeral. John spent his early years in Sundown, MB and married Nettie Evankevich; they married, worked their farm and raised nine children. He retired in Kelowna, BC where he enjoyed his favourite activities; walking, riding his bicycle and going out to the forest to cut his own firewood. MILLER, Phyllis Elizabeth Born December 8, 1927, in Cudworth, Saskatchewan, passed away at the Kelowna General Hospital on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at the age of 85. Phyllis was predeceased by her loving husband, A. Les Miller of 64 years, her sister Marion Mason and her brother Ralph Schmidt. Phyllis leaves behind her sons Keith (Donna) Miller of Salmon Arm, and Ron Miller (Jann Cogswell) of Vancouver. Her grandchildren, Les (Sarah) Miller of Coquitlam and Rebecca Miller of Kamloops. Phyllis also leaves behind her sisters Lucille Hunter of New Westminster and Rosemarie Morgan of Toronto and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis worked for over 25 years as a nurse's aide and then a physiotherapist's aide in the lower mainland and retired to Westbank with Les in the early 70's. From there they moved into Kelowna. DOVELL, RHEONA (nee OUIMET) Our beloved wife and mother, Rheona, left us suddenly on January 21st 2013, at the age of 84. She leaves behind her family, including husband Jim, daughters Lynn Zdan (Peter), Janice Rempel (Rob), and Wendy Bastiaanssen (John), as well as her cherished grandchildren Torie, Piers, Kyle, Lindsay, Julia, Gabrielle and Caroline. Rheona also leaves extended family in Ottawa, and other parts of Canada. Rheona was born in Cyrville, Ontario on July 23, 1928. She and Jim married in 1955 and lived in Ottawa, Saskatchewan, and later Winnipeg, where they raised their daughters and developed many close friendships. Rheona was proud of her work for Bell Telephone in Ottawa and later had a successful career as a Personnel Manager at Woolco in Winnipeg.
