Dad was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. Dad met Mom in 1955, they married in 1957 and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary September 7, 2007. Dad was an accomplished athlete with two Brier appearances representing Manitoba in 1964 and 1967, playing second on the Bruce Hudson rink; and induction into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. The Manitoba Hall had this to say, "As the Second World War drew to a close, a remarkable athletic career, spanning six decades, began. From minor hockey championships in the early 1940s to senior curling competition at the turn of the century, Ken Little was truly an all-round athlete. While many athletes participate in several sports during their careers, most excel in one or two at best. Little excelled in five; hockey, track & field, football, baseball and curling. "In 2000, Dad was named one of five finalists for Manitoba Male Amateur Athlete of the Century. However, his greatest accomplishment was being a loving and supportive husband and a loving and devoted father and grandfather. Dad was a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte from 1952 to 1989 as a partner in Winnipeg, and managing partner in Prince George and Regina, retiring to Kelowna in 1990 where he continued to curl and golf.
