MONTAIN, Debra Elizabeth On May 6, 2014 our Mom Debra Elizabeth Montain (Elliott) died. She expired. Passed on. Sailed away. Burned through the last of her nine lives and carried on to the other side, where she is still celebrating in grand style. She is survived by her amazing husband, John of almost five years and his three daughters: Karen, Tracey and Lorri (Mike). She always said she was lucky to meet such a wonderful man who treats her so well. We can attest to this due to the large number of shows Mom instructed John to record on the PVR. You know it's love when your husband records a show on Slice, instead of Formula 1 Racing. Mom has two daughters: Shanna (Patrick), the one who has produced grandchildren and Whitney (Brian), the one who just got married. Neither can load a dishwasher properly despite repeated attempts and continued lessons. You probably know of us as Mom frequently pulled out the "purse photo album" and showed random people her family. Mom lovingly referred to her two grandchildren, Michael and Raphael as "her boys." She loved them deeply, but that love was put aside when she played Nintendo Wii bowling. It was her mission on visits to attain her "pro ball", which she frequently reminded everyone of once she earned it. Mom had the love of all of her siblings - some related by blood and some not. Mom and her entourage could keep a party going and were often the last ones to leave. Tommy (deceased), Jack, Tami (Jay), Tom (Karen), Michelle (complicated), Diane (Chuck), Linda (Jim) and Lynette. In lieu of flowers, Mom would hope that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for some struggling soul in her name. Love, Light and Joy from here to beyond. The party for Deb will be held on Monday, May 12th at 3:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com 250-860-7077

Bob was born in Regina and worked his way west, eventually setting roots in the Okanagan Valley. He was an engineer by trade, and his work and love of travel took him and his wife around the world.
