CODERRE, William Sr. July 1st, 1927 - February 25th, 2013. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Bill. He was a father, son, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, husband and friend to many. Bill was born in Empress, Alberta to Sylvester and Laura Coderre, consisting of a very large family of eleven brothers and sisters. At the age of 23, he married his wife Mary (deceased October 8th, 2004) on March 21st, 1951. They had four children: Valerie (deceased July 5th, 1983), Debbie (Chris), Rick (Marilyn) and Bill Jr. (Susan), adding up to a grand total of eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The love for the Okanagan had Bill move back here three times in his life. A gypsy at heart, Bill moved over thirty times in his life for the betterment of himself and his family (although he always blamed it on Mom). Dad you were loved to the end of your life; now you'll be loved to the end of ours. LOVE your family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Bill. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.mem.com clicking on stories and typing in William Coderre. Arrangements entrusted with First Memorial Funeral Services, Kelowna, 250-762-2299.
