BORYS, Joyce May Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Kelowna General Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Joyce was born on November 25, 1939 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, the eldest daughter of Metro and Carolina Borys. Joyce spent many years in Yorkton before moving to Kelowna, BC in 1992. Joyce graduated from Yorkton Collegiate High School. She worked for Morris Rod Weeder in Yorkton for 35 years. While living in Kelowna, Joyce was the accountant for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 26. For Joyce, full retirement was just not an option. She took great pride in her work and will be missed for her strength, decisiveness, and commitment. Joyce loved gardening and spent many hours working in her yard in Yorkton and tending to her beautiful rose garden in Kelowna. Every fall, family and friends looked forward to a new batch of Joyce's canned fruit, vegetables, and pickles. She loved to entertain, spend time with family and friends, play cards with
