FIELD, Jack With sadness we announce the passing of Jack Field who went peacefully at home on August 27, 2012, his loving wife Linda by his side. He is also survived by his two children, Christopher and Susan and 4 grandchildren, James, Lucy, Gloria and Jason. He is predeceased by both his father (Sydney) and mother (Dorothy). Jack led a full and rewarding life of 90 years which started at the homestead in Peace River on October 4, 1921. The family then moved to the Okanagan in the late 1920s settling into a life of fruit farming in Osoyoos. Jack moved to fruit inspection and then to Consumer and Corporate Affairs in Kelowna, retiring somewhat reluctantly in 1986. Jack kept himself busy with his many friends, offering a hand whenever it was needed while enjoying many cultural events and sports.
