PASEMKO, James Born in Skaro, Alta Sept. 21, 1921, passed away peacefully Sat., March 8, 2014 at his home in Kelowna. Jim was the son of Peter Pasemko of Skaro, Alta and Magda Eleniak of Nebyliw, West Ukraine. His grandfather Wasyl Eleniak was one of the first two Ukrainians to emigrate to Canada in 1892. Jim was predeceased by his wife Winnifred in 1994. He is survived by his brothers Paul of Kelowna, Peter of Edmonton, Ray of Spruce Grove and sister Olga of Mississauga and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim joined the army as a young man and served overseas during WWII. He later resided in Vancouver and then in Port Alberni where he was a successful business man. He retired to Parksville until moving to Kelowna in 2007 to be closer to family. Jim resided at Lakeshore Place where he made many new friends. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Lakeshore Place, Sat., April 5 at 2 pm, 3200 Lakeshore Rd.
